and determine what sectors exist within your community. Next list in priority order from one to sixteen what you believe are the most critical infrastructures supporting your community. Finally list what you believe is the greatest threat to each sector manmade, natural, accidental or cyber and if you believe these threats have a low, medium or high probability of occurring using a scale of 5 high to1 low. Note some critical infrastructure may be vulnerable to multiple threats and it is acceptable to list multiple threats as long as they are in your priority order. Be sure to include specific components of critical infrastructure for further examination throughout this course, which will help you complete your final paper in week seven.

Threats to Critical Infrastructure can consist of various threats including; natural threats, such as winter storms consisting of snow and ice, earthquakes, flooding, hurricanes, lighting strikes, heatwaves, tornados, wind storms and fires. Manmade or Human threats can consist of vandalism, theft, terrorism, active shooter, bombings, explosions, bioterrorism, carelessness, human injury including death or human error. Cyber –Attacks, can consist of Hacking, Denial of Service, System Intrusion, Extortion. System failures can result from accidents or technology failures.
This assignment can be completed in a word document or a spread sheet it is your preference and both are correct.
There are 16 critical infrastructure sectors whose assets, systems, and networks, whether physical or virtual, are considered so vital to the United States that their incapacitation or destruction would have a debilitating effect on security, national economic security, national public health or safety, or any combination thereof. Presidential Policy Directive 21 (PPD-21): Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience advances a national policy to strengthen and maintain secure, functioning, and resilient critical infrastructure.
